Overview

Smooth skin, planned properly.

Laser hair removal works by heating the hair follicle while the hair is actively growing. Only some hairs are in that phase at any one time, so each session catches a different set — which is why it is a course rather than a single appointment.

Treatment is planned for a wide range of skin tones. Your first visit is a consultation and patch test, so the settings are chosen for your skin and hair rather than left at a default.

  • Assessed for your skin type first
  • Patch test before the first session
  • Face, body and intimate areas
  • For women and men
  • Free areas included with some courses
  • The same named clinician each visit

Rated 5 out of 5.

Had an amazing experience with laser hair removal for my underarms! I saw great results in just two sessions—hair growth is significantly reduced, and my skin feels smoother.

How it works

Four steps, every time.

Doing it in this order is what keeps laser safe — especially for richer skin tones, where settings matter most.

01

Consultation & patch test

We check your skin, hair and medical history, then test a small area so the settings suit you.

02

Before each session

Shave the area the day before. Avoid waxing, plucking, threading and tanning between sessions.

03

The session

A chilled applicator glides over the skin. Small areas take minutes; full body takes longer.

04

Aftercare

Avoid heat, sun and hard exercise for 48 hours, and use SPF on treated skin every day.

Safety

The risks, in writing.

Laser is very safe in the right hands and on the right settings. These are the things we will talk through with you before your first session.

What you might notice

  • Redness and warmth for a few hours, like mild sunburn
  • Small raised bumps around the follicles that settle within a day
  • Rarely: blistering, or temporary lightening or darkening of the skin — the reason we patch test first

When we would wait

  • During pregnancy
  • With an active tan or recent sun exposure on the area
  • If you take medication that makes skin sensitive to light
  • Over broken skin, an active infection or a recent tattoo in the area

Questions

Before you book.

The questions people ask most at their consultation. If yours is not here, call — a clinician will answer it.

Does laser hair removal hurt?

The laser cools the skin as it works, so most people describe warmth or a light prickle rather than pain. Intimate and bony areas can feel more sensitive, and we can adjust as we go.

How many sessions will I need?

Most people need six to eight, spaced four to eight weeks apart. Hormonally driven hair — on the face, for example — can need occasional top-ups afterwards. You will get a realistic number at consultation.

Is it permanent?

Laser gives long-term hair reduction, not a guarantee of zero hair. After a full course most people see a significant, lasting reduction, and any regrowth tends to be finer and lighter.

Can you treat darker skin?

Yes. The laser we use can treat a wide range of skin tones, but settings must be chosen carefully. We assess your skin type and patch test first, every time.

Can I shave between sessions?

Yes — shaving is ideal. Avoid waxing, plucking, threading and epilating, which remove the root the laser needs to target.

Does it work on white, grey or red hair?

Laser targets pigment, so white, grey and very light red hair respond poorly. White hair epilation is the alternative — ask about it at your consultation.
