Overview
Fractional, for deeper work.
Treatment here uses an Erbium:YAG fractional laser. It treats the skin in a grid of tiny columns rather than across the whole surface, leaving untreated skin between them. That is what lets it work at depth while the surrounding skin supports recovery.
It is used for deeper acne scarring and uneven texture, often alongside microneedling. One session is rarely enough on its own, so most plans are a course of three or six sessions; the number that suits your skin, and what it can realistically achieve, is agreed at consultation. It is the strongest treatment on this list and needs the most careful planning — settings, spacing and skin type all change the plan.
- Erbium:YAG fractional laser, for deeper scarring

- Usually a course of three or six
- Patch test before the first session

- Written aftercare, and a review booked
The treatment
How a course actually runs.
The same three steps every time, for laser skin resurfacing as for everything else we do.
Step 01
Assessed, not sold to
A clinician looks at your skin or scalp, takes your medical history in person and tells you honestly what will — and will not — help. If the answer is “nothing yet”, that is what you will hear.
Step 02
Tested, then treated
Where a treatment needs one, a small area is tested first so the settings are chosen for your skin rather than guessed. Your plan, session count and total cost are agreed in writing before anything starts.
Step 03
Aftercare you can call on
You leave with written aftercare and a number to ring. A review is booked to check progress and adjust the plan if it needs it — that is where a course gets better, not on the first day.

Questions
Good to know.
Short answers to what people ask before booking laser skin resurfacing.
Speak to the clinic
+44 7487 416555What is fractional laser resurfacing?
The laser treats the skin in a grid of tiny columns rather than across the whole surface. The untreated skin between them is what supports recovery.
What is it used for?
Deeper acne scarring and uneven texture. The before-and-after on this page shows a course of four sessions over four months, paired with microneedling.
Is there downtime?
Yes — more than the gentler treatments. Expect redness for a few days after each session. You get an honest estimate before you book, so you can plan around it.
What are the risks?
Redness, swelling, temporary changes in pigment and, rarely, infection or scarring. Your clinician goes through the specific risks for your skin type at consultation and gives them to you in writing.
Is it safe on darker skin tones?
It has to be set differently, and that assessment is done specifically. A patch test comes first, every time.
